Few years ago one friend of mine give some items from her home because she was goin to live to Kissimee(FL) and sh'e don't want an expensive moving bill.. From the stash I found this teapot that I found some kind of ugly.. but I put in the top of refrigerator... well past sunday I look at it and think {pink spray paint}????. well here's the before and after now it's in the center of my dining table....

PS...please don't look at the torn candles.lol...I'm beginning to place some valentine's items around home.

Happy 2011 everybody...here are some pics of last year since practically didn't blog in 2010...Thanks for looking

My little Venus at left is picking some grass as part of the tradition of 3 Kings Day. IN the evening of Jan. 5th you pick this grass for the three camels then the three wise men left you gifts under your bed..{don't forget some water too} .At right are some of my Valentine's decorations..In February I decide to take one the free courses that my city offers so that's when my journey about cakes and appetizers continues..Since I remember I love to prepare different things for dessert, dips, etc.,This yellow cake is a lady hat I prepare in class..Then in March we celebrate the first year of our little princess Venus..Everything from the food, cakes, surprises, games plan, souvenirs, candy buffet..was prepared by me with so much love

As you see my kiddos are the main event in all the photos...here you have my big one who was the Master Sargeant of the year in the group of cadets they are..Im' so proud of my three sargeants..oh I have to tell you this was my first cake for an activity this activity was in May a couple of days later than the graduation from primary school from my little Angel Gabriel; the two pictures at the bottom are from our 5th anniversary and guess who made the cake???

Sorry I don't have last night pics but as you read when most people were eating or being ready for celebrate around 7:43 pm; our island was shaked.. and Very Hard... I don't even feel the earthquake all I feel was a very hard shake around me.. .. At my parents some liquid containers dropped. and at my house my nutcrackers moves to the left side...it was very strong because the epicenter was near the center of the island ...Fortunately we are all save but many structures were cracked and why not????we are happy because

Why I was so lazy...I promise it could be better...next year.... how much posts this year????unbelivable but here I am...in fact...it wasn't a bad year at all... the only thing we have to do is learn form experiences and remember the good times... for example my Venus 1st. Birthday it was a lovely and funny celebration....

And... speaking of celebrations... We celebrate life... The born of Jesus our Savior is a great excuse for me to share with you this post...we are going to celebrate tonight at my parents.. later we are goin thru a few houses we were invited. So here we are I like to share with you some pics of our Holiday Home today as a way to say Thank You to all of these people around blogland my new family....Wishing you a warm, cozy and precious Christmas

These photos are from a garage sale find I acquire about 2 months ago..a lovely marble receiving table. The wreath is handmade with some buyed pics from a expensive store...styrofoam trees are handmade too.. the three little wreaths at top were originally gold and here you see the results with some spray and acrylic paints...Some bleached bottle brush trees inside the cloche and the big ones are from kmart I bought them for .50 cents each in January... The beautiful candy colored house is handmade "fromscratch" I love how it turns.The "gold village" it was my first "shop" in the recently opened TJMAXx here in Puerto Rico...is an alegged shop because it was at the "open house" and a lovely lady that I gave my place at the paylane she was grateful and bought it to me and all because she was late for work and "needs" to shop her 20 handbags. {By the way the local newspaper have the store events and guess who was in the photo??? yes me....I am in the bottom photo behind the lady with turquoise blouse.

This post have to be quickie....Today I HAVE to finish all the inside decorations....next week is the last of school so I need to buy Christmas presents with that time....today let me show you my Santa's and my Christmas village... The Santa at the right top was the one for this year and bought it at Marshalls for only $5.99 Oh I love that store..... there was one near my house at least 10 mnts...but now it's closed so I have to go about 15 to 20 mnts... to the one next one near my area...well the glittery wood letters in gold says: Merry Christmas... {maybe some of you heard that phrase in spanish in the voice of our Jose Feliciano...Feliz Navidad>>>well the letters in red Noche Buena...means..the feast anticipating the born of Jesus so it means in english the "Christmas Eve"..now for the village...nothing fancy they are all from Walgreens since 2004 I use to buy one or two different pieces each year from then... well thats all for today but let me remind you don't forget to visit Cindy for more beautiful Show and Tell from sweet gals in this Friday event...Wishing you safe and happy parties, shopping deals and the best part of course enjoy your decorations and Christmas tree with your loved ones... How is it goin' girls??? sorry for no posting this week... I was very full of work.. my little Venus is getting more active by her 7 months.. (she's gonna be 8 nov. 25) ...preparing the menu for Thanksgiving... grocery list etc.,.Today in 1493 Christopher Columbus discovers Boriquen... a beautiful island today called "Isla del Encanto"{Enchanted Island}...or best known as Puerto Rico...So today is a holiday for us...so no school.. full house with my 4 kiddos...Isn't lovely when all they want to do is watch some cartoons in the morning???

Well let me share with you some Thanksgiving 2008 pictures since I love all the food we enjoy..many of the recipes are from the foodnetwork dot com

Of course my hubby was able to prepare poultry he really enjoy it...Here are the ingredients for the pumpkin pie...two of my chefs in the making and the final result..

The next step monkeying around with the ingredients for the green bean casseroleAt the right are the ingredients for the apricot glazed carrots sorry for no final result pic..

Isis prepared all the corn muffin stuffin..it was delicious...is the Rachael ray recipe for Pumpkin muffin stuffin with a twist since we were unable to bought the pumpkin muffins in any store.

Ladies sorry I have to divide this post but tomorrow I have to prepare "arroz con gandules"{GreenPigeon peas with rice} for the whole Isis classroom because tomorrow they are closing the PuertoRican week with festivities in their school..Good night...

Fall Buffet Table

Hola a tod@s...Today I want to tell you the story and then.. show it. This year I'm planning to receive my very best friend's family for Thanksgiving so I want to make it beautiful.. So I decide to prepare a lot of fall decorations in my home.. I love the buffet tables at sides of the dining room but I don't have one.. so I have to improvise with a little black box we put at the end of the bed we recently receive from husband's chief.. I fil it with 2 encyclopedia that we have and there's no room in the house for them... Then I elevate the box(table) with 2 pales of roofing treatment I found and cover it with a cloth is intended to use for a wall as a mural...is not centered but at least it covers all the "imperfections" and works so well for the end results...Thanks for reading.. My favorite are the 2 tiny cornucopias from the craft store I painted white.. with some tiny plastic fruits I found in a garbage can....

For today I want to share with you another spot I made look pretty...In my laundry area of the house..Sorry I didn't write which blog I get the idea.. but here you have.., the bottles are from wine, Amaretto, Licor 43 and Tequila...don't think I'm alcoholic...Imagine the Licor 43 was from my mother; she have that bottle from 2 christmas back.. and the Amaretto {my favorite} my dear friend give it to me when her house was partially distroyed by fire in Feb. 2008... but I wasn't able to drink from July '08 thru March '09 because of my pregnancy. Mine???so so...Isis want to trick or treat but her brothers wants to stay at a party...I ask her if she wants to go and maybe go to another one around my mom's neighborhood.. but she said no....Anyway... they where all pretty...My big one won a prize at the party...with his MJ sick.. look.... Ha....And my little baby she was so pretty.. and Isis looks beautiful in lavender...Take a look.By the way I had 2 tributes to MJ....

Hello there everyone.. finally I can share again in this fabulous and yummy for the eyes post from Cindy in her sweet blog... Today I'm gonna show you my reinvented baker's rack....It was donated from my husband's chief..and believe they gave us some great items....well... the original color was hunter green..(I noticed in the back of the legs).. but they give us in a pewter color... since I threw my hutch to the garbage{BAD DECISION}.. when we move to our new rented house I decided to paint it white and use it to show some beautiful things because I can't have enough space now in the kitchen...ahh! let me notice you the frames of the photos were painted last year in antique white spray so I let it as this for having a different shade of white...The blue items at the bottom were antique store findings all the 4 little ones for $12 and big bowl was from the church bazaar last month for only $1....again thanks for looking and don't forget to visit Cindy for more Show and Tell.

{I love all about goddesses..that's why my daughters names are Isis and Venus} ...it was my own mother's day present for 2008...I buy it at Marshalls ...It was for the first months in my bedroom then in my living room, then in my halls...and now at our new rented house is in the entrance of the house{in the living room again}At the top of the table I placed a gift of one of my friends it reads... Bless this Home and a JesusChrist light that actually is not in use as light...and for the season I placed this autumn swag....

...in blogland so I want to show you my table centerpiece....'til halloween...The central cristal vase was founded in a fund raising activity for the neighborhood church.. for only $2...the other 2 my mom bought me because I was in love with them at Sam's Club last month..they're plastic and came full of chocolate truffles that were delicious too....

..... Siempre rondando en mi cabeza.... me hace feliz... pues se dice que los sueños se pueden hacer realidad.... acabo de sentarme a buscar inspiración en varios blogs... en mi nuevo espacio.... sip.... acabo de mudarme... y aunque cree éste blog hace dias atrás... hoy puedo sentarme a escribir unas lineas.... Acabo de ver por la ventana un señor mayor con su carro esperando el cambio de luz {me mudé a una avenida} echando agua sobre su cristal con una botella de coca-cola convertida en una botella de "spray" para rocear su cristal delantero y pasarle el parabrisas.... Eso es una idea.... el ingenio del ser humano y la forma en la que muchos de nosotros con poco presupuesto; buscando, mirando, y elaborando en nuestras mentes hacemos maravillas.... Aqui comienzo con muchas ideas y una manera de vivir mas sencilla... que ya me ha hecho sentir unos dias tranquilos y en paz.... claro también se debe a que en éste nuevo espacio que vivo; lo hago sin ayuda social y eso ha quitado un gran peso de mis hombros.... ahora soy mas feliz... por aqui estaré compartiendo ideas, cosas exquisitas que veo en otros blogs y la forma en la que iré transformando mi espacio y mi vida...
