More Holidays in our Home

This post have to be quickie....Today I HAVE to finish all the inside decorations....next week is the last of school so I need to buy Christmas presents with that time....today let me show you my Santa's and my Christmas village... The Santa at the right top was the one for this year and bought it at Marshalls   for only $5.99 Oh I love that store..... there was one near my house at least 10 mnts...but now it's closed so I have to go about 15 to 20 mnts... to the one next one near my area...well the glittery wood  letters in gold says: Merry Christmas... {maybe some of you heard that phrase in spanish in the voice of our Jose Feliciano...Feliz Navidad>>>well the letters in red Noche Buena...means..the feast anticipating the born of Jesus so it means in english the "Christmas Eve"..now for the village...nothing fancy they are all from Walgreens since 2004 I use to buy one or two different pieces each year from then... well thats all for today but let me remind you don't forget to visit Cindy for more beautiful Show and Tell from sweet gals in this Friday event...Wishing you safe and happy parties, shopping deals and the best part of course enjoy your decorations and Christmas tree with your loved ones... Hello everybody... and of course here we are in another Show&Tell Friday from  My Romantic Home...

Today my home isn't ready for Christmas en in the morning I was asking myself well what I'm gonna show today... and turn around in my computer seat... Ohhhhh.... My new Nativity Scene..{at least for me is new...}.. Is a set I found at the church Bazaar for only $5...three  of the pieces are broken but nothing serious that a glue gun can't fix.Well... thats all for today... and don't forget to visit Cindy for more Show and Tell

Thanksgiving 2008 part 2

here I am... again... well.. this is the second part pf our Thanksgiving dinner 2008 Isis mashed bananas for the mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar and pecans crust...Better enough of food I want to share this photo of how I finished that day of course I didn't ate all the turkey as it seems...

How is it goin' girls??? sorry for no posting this week... I was very full of work.. my little Venus is getting more active by her 7 months.. (she's gonna be 8 nov. 25) ...preparing the menu for Thanksgiving... grocery list etc.,.Today in 1493 Christopher Columbus discovers Boriquen... a beautiful island today called "Isla del Encanto"{Enchanted Island}...or best known as Puerto Rico...So today is a holiday for us...so no school.. full house with my 4 kiddos...Isn't lovely when all they want to do is watch some cartoons in the morning???


Well let me share with you some Thanksgiving 2008 pictures since I love all the food we enjoy..many of the recipes are from the foodnetwork dot com

Of course my hubby was able to prepare poultry he really enjoy it...Here are the ingredients for the pumpkin pie...two of my chefs in the making and the final result..

Isis prepared all the corn muffin stuffin..it was delicious...is the Rachael ray recipe for Pumpkin muffin stuffin with a twist since we were unable to bought the pumpkin muffins in any store.




Ladies sorry I have to divide this post but tomorrow I have to prepare "arroz con gandules"{GreenPigeon peas with rice} for the whole Isis classroom because tomorrow they are closing the PuertoRican week with festivities in their school..Good night...

Fall Buffet Table

Hola a tod@s...Today I want to tell you the story and then.. show it. This year I'm planning to receive my very best friend's family for Thanksgiving so I want to make it beautiful.. So I decide to prepare a lot of fall decorations in my home.. I love the buffet tables at sides of the dining room but I don't have one.. so I have to improvise with a little black box we put at the end of the bed we recently receive from husband's chief.. I fil it with 2 encyclopedia that we have and there's no room in the house for them... Then I elevate the box(table) with 2 pales of roofing treatment I found and cover it with a cloth is intended to use for a wall as a mural...is not centered but at least it covers all the "imperfections" and works so well for the end results...Thanks for reading.. My favorite are the 2 tiny cornucopias from the craft store I painted white.. with some tiny plastic fruits I found in a garbage can....

White Wednesday for the first time

Finally I have the opportunity of being a participant in this inspirational post from Faded Charm. So let's go to the story....First can you imagine someone throwing away this pretty item??...well back in September I founded by the side of a garbage can


Then I decided to paint it of course in white








And I arrange at the top roses from my wedding back 2005 and the wreath I purchase few weeks ago from an antique store for $2..The plates were free in a church bazaar...Thanks for looking

Beautifying my home

For today I want to share with you another spot I made look pretty...In my laundry area of the house..Sorry I didn't write which blog I get the idea.. but here you have.., the bottles are from wine, Amaretto, Licor 43 and Tequila...don't think I'm alcoholic...Imagine the Licor 43 was from my mother; she have that bottle from 2 christmas back.. and the Amaretto {my favorite} my dear friend give it to me when her house was partially distroyed by fire in Feb. 2008... but I wasn't able to drink from July '08 thru March '09 because of my pregnancy. The signboard reads "laundry room" in spanish... Thanks for looking and don't forget to leave me comments I love it...

I love junkin Mondays

It was a surprise for me I just found today a blog that dedicates a topic about finding treasures.. Amazing... I love to go around neighborhoods to see what people throw away... Today I found this little table in a beauty salon at the corner of my house... The photo don't work well but is pretty.. but surely it's goin' to be more when I paint it and begin to play with little things maybe found in another Junkin Monday...

How was your halloween????

Hello gals....wishing last night was safe and happy for all you... Mine???so so...Isis want to trick or treat but her brothers wants to stay at a party...I ask her if she wants to go and maybe go to another one around my mom's neighborhood.. but she said no....Anyway... they where all pretty...My big one won a prize at the party...with his MJ sick.. look.... Ha....And my little baby she was so pretty.. and Isis looks beautiful in lavender...Take a look.By the way I had 2 tributes to MJ....
